He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Thorne and Katherine Thorne (Branz); his wife Dorothy White; and his brothers, Arnold, Clarence, John, Donald and George.

He is survived by: his daughter Debra Bellot (Dan) of Odell, IL; his grandchildren, Chase Stout (Sara) of Cornell and Shaunna Roe (Tom) of Pontiac; and his great grandchildren, Calix Stout and James Roe.

Memorials may be made to the United Church of Odell or Odell Public Library.
