She was predeceased by: her parents, Amelia Simmons (Ringering) and Ameila; her aunt Dorothy Hessel; and her siblings, Richard Simmons, Shirlee Stewart and Carol Sue Schindewolf.
She is survived by: her children, Robb Hanner (Laura) of Athens, IL and Lisa A. Black (Kenneth) of South Roxana, IL; her grandchildren, Brittany Broadwater of South Roxana, IL, Nick Hanner of Athens, IL, Maggie-Grace Black of South Roxana, IL and Makayla Gibbons of Cave City, KY; her great grandchildren, Blayke and Maverick Gibbons of Cave City; her brother Charles Simmons of Carlyle, IL; her grandmother Margaret Henderson (Dale) of Livingston, IL; and her sister-in-law Sharon Simmons of Edwardsville, IL. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cunningham Children's Home or Engle Lane Theatre for the performing arts at the William C. Schiffbauer Center in care of Weber & Rodney Funeral Home.
