She was predeceased by: her parents, Jarlath M. Watson and Lucille Watson (Johnson); and her brother Msgr. She is survived by: her significant other Harry J. "Bud" Verdun; her children, LuAnn Trainor of Fairbury, IL, Bill Verdun (Joy) of Oregon, IL, Mike Verdun (Diana) of Belding, MI and Amy Gulliford (Scott) of Shorewood, IL; her grandchildren, Mark Trainor (Kara) of Fairbury, Joe Trainor (Lindsey) of Fairbury, Greg Trainor (Faith) of Tinley Park, IL, Katie Golliday (Lance) of Lexington, IL, Jay Trainor of Denver, CO, Nick Gulliford of Joliet, IL, Grace Gulliford of Shorewood, IL, Grace Verdun of Arlington Heights, IL, Jack Verdun of Grand Rapids, MI and Devinn Dewey of Polo, IL; her great grandchildren, Jase, Kyler, Luke, Hayleigh, Harry, Sammy, Lucy, Jack, Henry, Kyli, Kenzli, Kaethen and Kolten; her brothers, John Watson (Peg) of Galesburg, IL, Joe Watson (Caroline) of Fontana, WI and Jim Watson (Linda) of Moline, IL; her sisters-in-law, Joann Hoegger of Odell and June Welte of Richland Center, WI; her friend Sharon Howell; her son-in-law Bob Trainor; and her grandson Ethan Trainor. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Odell following the Mass. Those wishing to express their sympathy are welcomed to consider a memorial donation in Catherine's memory to St. Paul Catholic School.
