He was predeceased by: his parents, William T. Grimes and Mary R. Grimes (Clapp); his daughter-in-law Dianne Grimes; his sisters, Darlene Miller and Ruth Goodwin Powell; and his brothers-in-law, Ted Miller, Tom Goodwin and Carl Powell.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Grimes of Oakwood; his sons, Dean Grimes (Kelly Cundiff) of Rossville, IL and Dan Grimes (Carri) of Seymour, IN; his brother Bob Grimes (Nancy) of Oakwood, IL; and his grandchildren, Megan Grimes of Fishers, IN, Tom Grimes (Wendy) of Milford, CT and Gavin Grimes of Seymour, IN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the Newtown Hebron United Methodist Church or the Oakwood High School FFA Program.
