Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Karon leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Thurman and Fauniel Thurman (Ricketts); her husband William "Bill" Huckaby; and her brother Robert "Bobby" Thurman. She is survived by: her daughter Christine Hargrove (Donald); her granddaughters, Breanna Hargrove and Brittany Hargrove (Alan); her great grandchild Jackson Harding; her brothers, Gary, Roy (Tina) and Dan Thurman (Kerri); and her brother-in-law Don Huckaby. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home Oakwood Chapel (105 E South Main St, Oakwood, IL 61858). A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
