It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gladys Miller of Oakwood, Illinois, who passed away on January 13, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Gladys Miller to show support.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Eldridge and Gladys Eldridge (Bailey); her husband Ernest; and her siblings, Thelma, Shirley, Virginia, Marjorie, Olive, Martha and James.

She is survived by: her father-in-law Ernest E. Miller; her children, Gina Young (Stephen) and Greg Miller (Becky); her grandchildren, Gennifer High (James), James Melton (Mercedes), John Melton, Jamie Melton, Drew Miller (Amanda), Alan Miller (Damaris), Nicholas Young (Lisa) and Lacy Hicks (Jim); her sister Patrica Martin; and her sister-in-law Norma Sapp. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

IDPH Guidelines will be strictly followed regarding gathering limitations, masks, and social distancing.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Gladys Miller's name to Danville First Church of the Nazarene.

“Greg and Gina, especially, but the rest of the family, too. We are VERY sorry for your loss. I was blessed to have an aunt, Jean Woodworth, cut from the same mold as Gladys. You could count on both of them to tickle your funny bone at any time and many times. God must have gotten many a chuckle out of their senses of humor! We have thought of you guys often in the last several days, prayed for you, and will continue to. Love, Bob and Linda Adolph”
