He was predeceased by: his parents, George Nuding and Laverne Nuding (Thomann); his sister Maxine Smith; his parents-in-law, Gene and Marilyn Timmerman; his siblings-in-law, Gene Timmerman and Diane Greenwood; his nephew Rob Greenwood; and his niece Lisa Timmerman.

He is survived by: his wife Tammy Timmerman; his sons, Michael Nuding (Jessica) of Bloomington, Bill Woollen (Tonya) of Oakley and Ryan Nuding (Stacey) of Sullivan; his grandchildren, Madilynn Woollen, Greyson Nuding, Jameson Nuding, Morgan Nuding and Addison Nuding; his sister Mary Rodgers (Gary) of Winter Haven, FL; and his siblings-in-law, Randy Hoehn (Connie) of Cerro Gordo, Dennis Hoehn of Cerro Gordo, Richard Smith of Jerseyville, IL and Penny Timmerman of Decatur. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
