It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Homer J. Skortz of Oakdale, Illinois, who passed away on December 26, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve A. Skurat and Agnes Skurat (Stern); his daughter-in-law Sue Skortz; and his siblings, Edna Parker and John Skortz.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Skortz of Oakdale, IL; his children, Steve G. Skortz of Oakdale, IL, Joe Skortz (Lisa) of Belleville, IL, Ester Jean Brawn (Tony) of Oakdale, IL and Debbie Rushing of Wisconsin; and his sisters, Marcella Cleveland of New Hampshire, Cornelia Scheltz (Gene) of St. Louis, MO and Jerry Prosperia of St. Louis, MO. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Covid resurgence restrictions will be adhered to, attendance will be limited and social distancing will be enforced. All attendees are asked to wear a mask.
