He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Ehret and Martha Ehret; and his grandson Cody Holtgrewe. He is survived by: his wife Ana Maria of Oakdale; his children, Carmen Holtgrewe (Michael) of Ashley, IL, Sandra Dee Koth (Roy) of Chester, IL, Milton Juan Ehret of Oakdale, Barbara Ann Ehret (Jerid Wendling) of Addieville, IL, Edward Ehret Jr. (Jill) of Nashville, IL, Robert "Ube" Ehret (Dori) of Oakdale and BJ Ehret (Jamie Hinklin) of Oakdale; his siblings, Sandie Flanagan (Jack) of South Haven, MS and John Ehret (Jean) of Belleville; his aunt Janet Smith of Savannah, GA; and his grandchildren, Brandon Holtgrewe, Edwin Holtgrewe (Cheyenne), Trini Douglas (Nate), Tonia Carroll, Tia Carroll, Sierra Lohman (Joshua), Mariah Ehret, Luke Ehret, Maranda Snyder (Bobby), Mersadez Ehret (Dayton Dalman), Madalina Ehret, Audra Galliano (Josh), Erin Elliott (Bobby), Nicholas Aholt, Abigail Wheat, Reina Ehret, Kailee Remer, Jackson and Kennedy. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren; several cousins; nieces and nephews; a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Oakdale Grade School and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
