He was predeceased by: his spouse Palma; and his sister Ida DeNittis (late Peter). He is survived by: his children, Marc Galassi, Gina Mahoney (Patrick), Maryann Wilson (Brian) and Cara Janis (Chris); his grandchildren, Neal Mahoney, Angela Vallera (Ryan), Alyssa Mahoney, Gianna Hauppa (Paulie), Marina Galassi, Colin Janis, Makenzie, Brandon and Tiffanie Wilson; and his great grandchildren, Dominic, Jackson Vallera, Giuliana and Adriana Hauppa. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
