With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard W. Kalchbrenner of Oak Park, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on April 30, 2024 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

“Joe, Jim, and family members, Ellie and I have so many good memories of you, Richard, and your folks. When I moved to the block in 1967, Richard was 17! We were welcomed by your folks and gradually got better acquainted with you all. We were so inspired by your folks gardening, especially your dad's way with plants, some which he shared with us. Among others we still have angel wing begonias started with a plant he gave to us. Richard carried on his tradition, much appreciated.”
