She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, David Gorski (John Hadeed), Matthew, Victoria Yeisley (Sean Milligan), Grammie of Anne and Kathleen Milligan; and her siblings, Ann Olson (Richard), Mary Schmidt (late Thomas), William (Linda), Michael Lennox (Judy) and Francis Galli (Anita).

“To Nellie's family, I was so very sorry to hear of Nellie's passing. I am a neighbor living a few doors down from Nellie. We met briefly several times while she was walking her daughter's dog. Nellie impressed me as a gentle, loving soul who shared a love of nature and animals with me. I am not sure Nellie would even recognize me again, our meetings were that brief. But her warmth stayed with me, I had hoped to get to know Nellie better. My love and thoughts are with you. Nancy Meyer”
