It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George William Lane of Oak Park, Illinois, who passed away on May 1, 2024, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As George departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved George. Though George may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his grandfather Elmer Lane; and his father-in-law Eric Smith. He is survived by: his wife Molly; his children, Sean, Jack and Shannon; his mother-in-law Betty Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Charlie Smith and Shanel Jackson.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in George's name to the American Cancer Society.
