She was predeceased by: her parents, Terence J. Byrne and Maureen Byrne of Oak Park, Illinois.; her former husband Mark Laux; and her partner Jerry Swegan of North Carolina. She is survived by: her children, John Laux of Bellevue, WA and Kathleen Laux (George Zilahi); her granddaughter Annabel Zilahi of Palmyra, NJ; her child Ryan Laux (Amanda) of Elmira, NY; her sister Kathy McCauley (Tom) of River Forest, Illinois; and her nephew Thomas Byrne McCauley (Kelly). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Arctic League, P O Box 113, Elmira NY 14902.
