He was predeceased by: his parents, George Flannery and Bernice Flannery; and his siblings, Robert (Mary), James (Mary), Bernice (Ed) and Jack Flannery (JoAnn).

He is survived by: his significant other Kathie Keys (Keys); his children, Jeannie, Meghan, Pati, Hugh John (Millie), Matt (Melody), Timothy (Mary Chris), Stacy (John) and Ryan (Bonnie); his grandchildren, Jana (Emile), Grace, Kevin (Sophia), Kelsey (Alex), Lauren (Jack), Kaitlyn (Phil), Dylan, Mariah, Sean, Ireland, Joe, Lia, Isabella, Seamus, Ella, Sophia, Phoebe, Emmett, Nora, Matthew, Rowan, Brigid, Packy and Quinn; and his great grandchildren, Emile, Luke, Shea and Thomas. He is also survived by eight children, twenty-four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
