She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Blades and Ruth Blades (Capehart); her former husband Shelby "Doc" Allen; her siblings, Alfred Blades, Diane Bruce, Geraldine Wilson, Phillip Blades and Fred Blades; and her lifelong best-friend Phyllis Sweeney.

She is survived by: her husband Michael Sweeney; her daughters, Renee Prysock-Wendtland (Allen) and Kimberly Allen; her grandchildren, Brittany Gomez (Prysock), Matthew Prysock, Tyler Selby, Joshua Allen, Chloe Walker, Hailey Walker and Sofia Sweeney-Marino; her great grandchildren, Jackson Prysock and Kepler Gomez; and her stepdaughters, Dawn Selby (Sweeney), Bridget Sweeney Marino and Colleen Sweeney-Walker. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
