He was predeceased by: his sister Barbara. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Michael F., Kathryn Selvage (Tim) and Kimberly Nelson (Bruce); his grandchildren, Kailey, Lily, Timothy, Autumn and Teagan; his pet Champ; and his sibling Francis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to Paws of Tinley Park is appreciated.
