She was predeceased by: her parents, Parathinia Alexander and Walter Hoover; her husband John Sawyer; her daughter Mary Ann; her grandchildren, Reginald and Taya; and her siblings, Evelyn Allen, Gladys Allen (Irene) and Herbert Hoover.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara "Be-Be" Craig, Colette "Bae-Bae" Hoover, Howard "Count" Hoover (Cynthia), Leonard "Pete" Hoover and Diane Gusie (John). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; one great great- grandchild; and a host of cousins, friends.
