With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lorena Barrera of Oak Lawn, Illinois, who passed away on January 16, 2025 at the age of 58. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Andrea Castillo (Victor), Maria Anaya, Jose Anaya and Karen Anaya; her grandchildren, Giovani Castillo, Marisela Anaya, Kathalina Anaya, Giana Castillo, LillyAna Anaya, Isa'Bella Anaya, Roberto Sanroman, Alani Anaya, Giselle Barrera and Jose Anaya; her parents, Consuelo Barrera and Gregorio Barrera; and her siblings, Maria Barrera (Alejandro), Jose Barrera (Martha), Gregorio Barrera (Eva), Luis Barrera (Carmela), Veronica Barrera (Jose), Filomena Barrera, Mario Barrera (Felasa) and Maria Consuelo Barrera.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hickey Memorial Chapels - Midlothian (4201 147th St, Midlothian, IL 60445). A prayer will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St Christopher Church - St Augustine (4130 147th St, Midlothian, IL 60445).
