It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John J. Karakas Sr. (Oak Lawn, Illinois), who passed away on August 19, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Rose; his daughter Debra Karakas; and his sister Olga (Walter Skvorc). He is survived by: his children, Anna Marie Swaim (David), Patty Karakas and John Karakas (Kathleen); his grandchildren, Holly (Dan), Katelyn (Tim), Thomas, Michelle and Kristina; and his siblings, Mary (Nick Segina), Violet (Matt Burazin) and Fond. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Park Lawn School, 10833 S. Laporte Ave. Oak Lawn, IL 60453 in care of Patty Karakas would be greatly appreciated.
