It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dionysios N. Vamvakas (Oak Lawn, Illinois), who passed away on June 8, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Vasiliki Vamvakas; his children, Nick (Donna), George Vamvakas (Jamie) and Cherished; his grandchildren, Andie, Violet, Danny Vamvakas and Proud; his parents, Nikolaos Vamvakas and Ekaterini Vamvakas; and his siblings, Athena Choukalas (late Danny) and Fond. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 10301 Kolmar Avenue, Oak Lawn, IL, would be appreciated.
