It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Basie Georgelos (Oak Lawn, Illinois), who passed away on February 14, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her spouse Peter Nikolaos Georgelos; and her sibling Sofia Pappas (late George). She is survived by: her children, Patricia Vardalos (late Nicholas), Nikolaos (Susan), Sotirios (Konstadina), Georgios Georgelos (Sofia), Peter, Ivan, Valerie (Peter Kotsiovos), Pamela, Victoria and Eva; her siblings, Stamatina Bratsos (late Nick), George Gelis (Joanna), Georgia Les (Bill) and Nick Gellis (Betty); and her siblings-in-law, Christina Georgantas (late Evangelos) and Dimitrios Georgelos (Vasiliki). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
