It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert L Thomas of Oak Forest, Illinois, who passed away on November 7, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Robert leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his wife Dolores Thomas; his father Giuseppe Tomassi (Raffaela); his siblings, Louis Thomas (Virginia), Lorraine D'apice (Elmer) and Violet Bishop (Joseph); and his nieces, Linda Cookingham and Jolyn Bishop.
He is survived by: his children, Kelly Harmsen (Allen) and Tracy Barker (Anita Castillo); and his grandchildren, Chrysa Hyde (James), Joshua Harmsen (Kyia Poll) and Savannah Barker. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, stepchildren, and lifelong friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Steger Memorial Chapel (3045 Chicago Rd, Steger, IL 60475). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
