He was predeceased by: his parents, Bonnie and Arthur; and his brother Buzz Beard. He is survived by: his wife Susan Caroll Wells; his daughters, Kim, Paige and Shannon; his grandchildren, Margot, Wells, Megan, Ashley, Taylor and Chloe; his nephews, Swain Beard (Ginger) and Chris Beard (Heather); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Bryce, Wes, MarySwain, Olivia and Camden.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wellness House, Morton Arboretum or Young Life.
