He was predeceased by: his parents, Burnice Edward Grier and Nadine Williams Grier; and his brother William "Bill". He is survived by: his children, Michael Grier (Julie) of Elloree, SC, Linda Grier Vinneau of North Charleston, SC, Cheryl Johnstone (Yvonne) of Kiawah Island, SC, Lori Marie Sees (Curtis Blackie) of Summerville, SC and Richard Mottinger (Barbara) of North Charleston, SC; and his sister Phyllis Willard (Bill Warriner) of Easley, SC. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
