He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Anne Atkins; his parents, Eleanor Atkins and Wyman Atkins Sr.; his stepmother Lily Atkins; his daughter Cheri Mandel (Lloyd); his grandchild Rene Alton Mandel; his sister Lynda Bush (late David); his stepsiblings, Wayne Atkins (Trulee) and Kristie Atkins; his niece Lisa Lopez (Tom); his nephews, David Bush (Kim) and Steve Fitzgerald; and his godson Rick Diego.
