We are sad to announce that on March 4, 2024, at the age of 95, Norene T. Mahoney (Northbrook, Illinois), born in Detroit, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Robert T. Mahoney; her daughter Mary Hurley (Brian); her parents, George Trapp and Norene Trapp; her mother-in-law Jennie Mahoney; her siblings, George Trapp (late Terry), Dorothy LaMere (late Albert), John Trapp and William Trapp (Judy); and her brother-in-law John Mahoney (late Eileen).

She is survived by: her friend Notre Dame; her family Math; her children, Carol Douglas (Steve), Michael (Janet) and Ann Hanrahan (Brian); her grandchildren, Michael Hurley (Erin), Terry, Marty, Colleen, Laura Mahoney, Tommy, Katie, Claire Hanrahan and Bobby Douglas; her great grandchild Patrick Hurley; and her sister Joanna Trapp O. S. B.. She is also survived by four children, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
