She was predeceased by: her grandson Samuel Berger; and her parents, Abe Shulman and Ida Shulman. She is survived by: her boyfriend Dr. Irving Savin; her children, Howard Zelener (Sue Irish-Zelener), Barry Zelener (Donna Piekarczyk) and Marla Berger (David); and her grandchildren, Alix, Stefanie, Andi Zelener and Elizabeth Berger.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Jewish Oakridge Cemetery (4301 W Roosevelt Rd, Chicago, IL 60624). A shiva was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM at 1445 Lake Cook Rd, Deerfield, IL 60015.
