He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Ann; his daughter-in-law Colleen; and his parents, Helen Vitu and Paul Vitu. He is survived by: his children, Danielle Venyse Schuh (Gary) and Joseph Francis Jr. Vitu (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Emmaline, Bridget, Mackenzie, Kayleigh, Kevin, Quinn and Caroline; and his brother Edward Vitu (Suzanne).
