He was predeceased by: his former wife Rita Comstock Sharkey; and his son Gregory J. Sharkey. He is survived by: his daughters, Catherine Sharkey-Steinberg (Rick), Christine Sharkey-Sanders (Dustan) and Janet Sharkey-Gualano; his grandchildren, Sara Oberheim (Harry), Caitlyn Isham, Eric Chaney, Jake Chaney (Rachel), Sean Sharkey (Allison), Rocco Gualano, Nickolas Gualano and Samantha Steinberg; and his great grandchildren, Zachary Klein, Justin and Oberheim.
