He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia Rice and Nathan Rice; and his brother Fredrick Rice. He is survived by: his wife Jean; his children, Jennifer Brown (Michael), Alan Rice (Pamela), Elise Swatez (Marc) and Michael Rice (Susan); his grandchildren, Rachel Brown, Benjamin Brown (Nicole), Joelle Swatez, Joshua Swatez, Micah Swatez, Asher Rice and Eviana Rice; and his great grandchild Sophie Brown.
