He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank J. and Patricia Romano, Jr.; and his siblings, John and Catherine. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Romano; his children, Frank J. Romano IV and Elizabeth Carroll (Brian); his grandchildren, Frank J. Romano V, Tim, Sean, Liam and J. P. Carroll; and his sisters, Carla Grossmann (Jim) and Susan Hankey (Mike). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID restrictions, a Private Funeral Mass will be held Friday, March 19 at 10 am at St. Norbert Church with a Live Stream of the Mass available at https://northbrookcatholic.church - Under the "Covid 19 resources" section, there is a box on the left side called "Live Streams (Mass)". Interment will be private at All Saints Cemetery.
