He was predeceased by: his siblings, Bella Katz (late Nelik Bechko) and Semyon Katz. He is survived by: his wife Lara Gorokhovsky; his children, Regina Katz (Michael Kaplan) and Konstantin "Kostya" Katz (Natasha); and his grandchildren, Avi Kaplan, Lyla Katz, Levi Katz and Elan Katz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Lawns Chapel (3100 Shermer Rd, Northbrook, IL 60062). A burial was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 12:45 PM at the Sunset Memorial (3100 Shermer Rd, Northbrook, IL 60062).
