She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Jeanne Pieters of Novato, Mark Pieters (Leslee) of Northbrook, Glenn Pieters of Glenview and Christopher Pieters (Rita) of Zeeland; her parents, Seymour Standish and Annetta Standish; her brothers, Seymour, Thomas (Tom) and Robert (Bob); her husband Scott; and also Scott Bennett Pieters. She was also cherished by 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
