He was predeceased by: his wife Norma Jean Hoppe; his sister Ruth Justmann (Jay); and his parents, Arthur M. Hoppe and Emily Hoppe. He is survived by: his children, Gary Hoppe (Teresa), Debbie Sorby (Kurt), Mark Hoppe (Shari) and Jenny Jurek (Greg); his grandchildren, Kimberlie Fickel (Roy), Gary Hoppe Jr., Kyle Sorby (Jill), Kevin Sorby (Gina), Eric Sorby (Sarah), Karina Morgan (Clint), Brian Hoppe (Ashley), Nick Hoppe (Natalia Ozymko), Scott Jurek and Ashley Jurek (Brayden Hilty); and his great grandchildren, Jace, Lila, Luke, Westley, Dominic, Michael, Will, Braxton, Brooke, Lincoln, Kal, Savannah, Maeve and Kit. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Marsh Funeral Home (305 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
