It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alex Shafran (Northbrook, Illinois), who passed away on December 30, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Alex is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Alex's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Olena Gladun; his children, Vitaly and Alan Shafran; his parents, Alexander Shafran and Maria Shafran; and his cousin Felix Tsipris (Polina).
A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Northbrook Community Congregation (2548 Jasper Ct, Northbrook, IL 60062). A burial was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 12:45 PM at the Sunset Memorial (3100 Shermer Rd, Northbrook, IL 60062).
