He was predeceased by: his wife Anne R. Brokenshire; his son John Brokenshire (Linda); his brothers, John Brokenshire (late Dorothy) and Howard Brokenshire (late Harriet); and his siblings-in-law, Catherine Lapetina (late Rocco), Carl Rotunno (late Mary) and Virginia Caponigri (late Anthony).

He is survived by: his children, Catherine Brokenshire, Coletta Behrendt (Cary) and Mary Beth Brokenshire; his grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Rachel Brokenshire, Daniel Behrendt and Elizabeth Hughes (Joseph); and his great grandchildren, Hailey Behrendt, Conor and Cormac Hughes.
