He was predeceased by: his sister Marianne Benac (late John); his brother-in-law James Marchetti; and his nephews, Doug Vancura and Joseph Vancura. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Ann Hoving; his daughters, Kimberly Minarcik (Jake) and Karla Doherty (Dave); his grandchildren, Morgan Doherty, Jessica Driessens, Mallory Burkhardt (Austin) and Nicholas Doherty; his great grandchildren, Elijah Burkhardt and Noah Burkhardt; his stepgreat-granddaughter Amelia Burkhardt; his sister-in-law Mary Lou; his nephew Michael Marchetti (Stephanie); his nieces, Lisa Anagnostopoulos (Chuck) and Laura Hacker (Terry); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Michael Marchetti, Ethan Marchetti, Joseph Marchetti, Jacob Anagnostopoulos, Kai Anagnostopoulos, Cameron Hacker, Casey Hacker, Andrew Vancura and Jillian Vancura.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home and Cremation Services (2447 Desplaines Ave, North Riverside, IL 60546). A prayer was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Mater Christi Church (2401 S 10th Ave, North Riverside, IL 60546). An entombment was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery (1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
