It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Harvey Dyer of North Pekin, Illinois, born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on November 9, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Dyer and Ella Dyer (Walker); and his siblings, Sandra Matheney and Buddy (Melvin "Sonny" Dyer). He is survived by: his wife Alice Bodine; his daughters, Carol Tannhauser (Chuck) of North Pekin, Christy Dennison of North Pekin and Amber Dickson (Terry) of North Pekin; his grandchildren, Jordan Huichapa (Angel) of Pekin, Kaimyn Dennison (Paige) of Peoria, Caleb Dickson of North Pekin and Gage Vercler of Chicago; his great grandchild Xianna Huichapa; and his brother Guy Dyer (Rena) of Arkansas. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Paul Towne Memorial (660 Radio City Dr, North Pekin, IL 61554).
Memorial contributions may be given to A.B.A.T.E of Illinois, P.O. Box 526, Avon, Illinois 61415 or given to the family for Three Feathers Outreach, a charity near and dear to Richard's heart.
