Smith Jr. (North Chicago, Illinois), born in Duncan, Mississippi, who passed away on January 11, 2020, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Dellano Smith, Sr. and Ethel Inez Smith; his sister Delores Smith-Caston; and his brothers-in-law, Billy Bolton Sr., Thomas Williams, L. C. Caston and Charlie Brantley.
He is survived by: his wife Joy R. Smith of North Chicago; his children, Lasonia Moss of Tennessee, Paula Sullivan of Las Vegas, Shawn Morris, Natasha Houston and Hyacinth Harris (Douglas); his siblings, Henry A. Smith (Mary), Kenneth Smith, Carl Smith, Herbert Smith (Rose), Dwight Smith Sr. (Michelle) of Los Angeles, CA., Mary D. Bradley, Ethel I. Smith (Bolton), Barbara A. Smith and Monica S. Burgess (Kenneth) of Kent; his aunt Armenthis Christopher Odessa (Llewellyn); his grandchildren, Dante, Nisha, Melvin Smith IV, Arrianna, Kayden, Kayleigh, Kaylani, Shawn LaQuinton, Marquise, Devon, Jacinth, Naryha, Janaia, Falon and Samaiya; and his great grandchild Zhanea A. He is also survived by Nieces, Nephews, Sister-in-law, Brother-in-Laws, other family members, and special friends.
