He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Peterson and LaVerne Peterson; and his siblings, Helen Brown and Jerry Peterson. He is survived by: his wife Jayne Joshu; his children, Benjamin Peterson and Elyzabeth Peterson; his grandson Apollo Peterson; and his sisters, Shirley Haedt and Patricia Myler. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
