He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Sterkel and Pauline Sterkel (Mohr); and his brother Robert Sterkel. He is survived by: his wife Gloria M. Sterkel; his children, Robert Sterkel (Beth), Ronald Sterkel (Kendra), Susan Clow (Robert) and Steven Sterkel (Robin); and his brothers, Donald Sterkel and John Sterkel (Nancy). He is also survived by his six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
