He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Cavender and Effie June Cavender (Shonk). He is survived by: his wife Laura Cavender; his children, Faith, Sarah, Rachel, Luke (Megan) and Noah; and his siblings, Elaine Jordan (James), Phillis Howell (Steve), Lawrence Cavender, Rodney Cavender (Patti) and Lynn Miller (Rob). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
