He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Scott and Goldie Scott (Roland). He is survived by: his wife Catherine Bynum; his children, Nelson Scott (Amy Browning Edwards) of Norris City, IL, Anita Hunt of Harrisburg, IL, Ed Drone of Mt. Carmel, IL, Todd Drone (Dawn) of Mt. Carmel, IL and Michelle LeDuff of Norris City, IL.; his grandchildren, Kyle Scott, Eva Scott, Zachary Hunt, Addison Drone, Kassidy Drone, Kenley Drone, Keely Drone, Cannon LeDuff and Caylee LeDuff; his great grandchildren, Cheyenne and Lexus; and his sister Juanita Conger of Eddyville, KY..

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Jerry's memory to Turning Point Church in McLeansboro and will be accepted at the church.
