It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ella Mae Griffith of Norris City, Illinois, who passed away on January 26, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Felix Friend and Martha Friend (Taylor); her husband Edward Griffith; her grandchildren, Sarah Evans (Henson) and Bryan Hawkins; her son-in-law Robert Henson; and her sister June McGhee.
She is survived by: her daughters, Anna Mae Henson of Broken Arrow and Susie Hawkins (John) of Norris City; her grandchildren, Maria Pilkington (Dan) of Harrisburg, Dana Tanner (Kenny) of Harrisburg, Angie Williams (Keith) of Harrisburg, Phil Hawkins (Bekah) of Harrisburg and Kelsey Hawkins McVay of Norris City; her great grandchildren, Nicholas Pilkington (Autumn), Jonathan Pilkington (Autumn), Katie Pilkington, Brandon, Kailu, Jamie Tanner (Elexus), Emma, Sophie Williams, Nora, Hazel Hawkins, Carson, Ayleah, Bryce Hawkins, Brayden, Simon and Hannah Evans; and her great great grandchildren, Joshua, Caleb Pilkington, Emery, Rowan, Freddie, Conlen Tanner, Luca and Kade Watson.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Ella Mae's memory to the Alzheimer's Association and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City.
