He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dorothy Layne and Walter S. Layne; his brothers, Dennis S. (Janet) and Jim A. Layne; his nieces and nephews, Stephen Layne, Jennifer Tufano (Frank), Jamie and Jessica Layne; and his great-nieces, Kate, Cora and Charlotte.

Wally was a member of the Forest Park American Legion Post #414, and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warrior Project would be appreciated.
