She was predeceased by: her husband Roy Wahnert; her parents, Catherine Filarski and Jacob Filarski; and her siblings, Bruno Filarski (Josephine), Mitchell Filarski (Anna), Jean Kramer (Jack) and Edward Filarski (Loretta).

She is survived by: her children, Roy Wahnert (Jan), Pam Zimmer (Neal), Pat Ybarra (Larry) and Paulette Pociask (Stan); her grandchildren, Marcie Zawistowski, Jeff Ybarra (Trish), Chris Ybarra (Teresa), Steve Wahnert, Amy Aschliman (Shawn), Mark Pociask, Matt Pociask (Hailey), Stephanie Bryant (Nick) and Luke Pociask; and her great grandchildren, Addison, Mackenzie, Colton and Gianna Ybarra.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cumberland Chapels (8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge, IL 60706). Viewing was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Eugene Church (7958 W Foster Ave, Chicago, IL 60656). A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Maryhill Cemetery (8600 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60706).
