The memory of Norbert P. Bernauer (Norridge, Illinois), who passed away on September 22, 2024 at the age of 94, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Bernauer and Margaret Bernauer; his wife Juanita Schommer Bernauer; his daughter Sharon (Bryers); his siblings, Edward and Rosemary (Adams); his sons-in-law, Doren Kuster, Michael Hill and William Bryers; and also Ron.

He is survived by: his significant other June Feiereisel; his children, Linda (Kuster), Maribeth (Hill) and Michael; his daughter-in-law Leona (Bernauer); and his close friend June Feiereisel. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and godchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, September 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cumberland Chapels (8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge, IL 60706). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St. Eugene Church (7958 W Foster Ave, Chicago, IL 60656).

Donations can be made in his name to La Rabida Children's Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
