He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ruth; his children, Jennifer Maul (Joseph) and Michael Wasiukiewicz (Rebecca Welles); his parents, Helyn Wasiukiewicz and Joseph Wasiukiewicz; his grandchildren, Joey Maul, Mira and Remi Wasiukiewicz; his sister Linda Cloherty (Karl); his siblings-in-law, Mary Jaeger, Tom Harnen (Rose) and Eddie Harnen; and his nieces and nephews, Karl, Jr., Alan, Jason Cloherty, James Jaeger, Amber, Adam and Tiffany Harnen.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Cumberland Chapels (8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge, IL 60706). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. Viewing was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 8:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
