He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Elizabeth; his children, Kevin O'Grady (Colleen), Margaret "Peggy" Chronos (John), Mary Ellen O'Grady, Matthew O'Grady (Elizabeth) and Kathleen "Katie" of Barry, C. P. D.; his grandchildren, Garrett, Bridget, Colin, Kevin, Nolan, Patrick, George, Catherine, Michael, Maggie, Matthew, Jr., Tim, Owen, Mary, Sarah and Daniel; and his siblings, Martin, Grady, Mary Kay Romba (Ron), Patricia Murphy (late James A.) and Francis O'Grady C. P. D..

Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cumberland Chapels (8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge, IL 60706). Viewing was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mother of the Church (8747 W Lawrence Ave, Chicago, IL 60656). A burial was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the All Saints Cemetery (700 N River Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016).
